Los Altos, January 30 2021 – IKB of Los Altos has won a “Best Of Houzz” award for Customer Service” on Houzz®, the leading website for home renovation and design. The experienced 25 year-old design and build firm was chosen by the Houzz community from among more than 2.5 million active home building, remodeling and design industry professionals.

The Best Of Houzz badge is awarded annually, in three categories: Design, Customer Service and Photography. Customer Service honors are based on several factors, including a pro's overall rating on Houzz and client reviews submitted in 2020. 

In a year in which Covid-19 restrictions were in place, IKB Design & Build was able to continue to prosper, finishing 6 major projects and landing others to jump start 2021. 

How did they do it? 

Chris Pandolfo started his career studying at Stanford University graduating with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. You may remember that IKB was started by acclaimed designer and her husband Ilona & Chuck Lindauer. She set the stage for classic elegance and IKB has been providing award winning design & construction services ever since. Chris’ attention to detail and business savvy have come provided the perfect partnership in working with new clients in need of remodel. 

The process starts with a personal referral. The clients appreciate their experience with IKB, refer their friends who notice a street sign or walk by the 346 Main Street studio. Office managers Latika Munjal and Tiffany Anderson listen to each prospective client's vision which leads to a personal visit or Zoom video chat with designer/owner Chris Pandolfo. Highly acclaimed designers Elena Kotelenets and Lucy Xiou take the client through a schematic & detailed design phase. A kick-off begins the “build.” IKB’s personally chosen, licensed subcontractors are organized through a scheduled process supervised by both the designer & a site manager. Since IKB is a full service general contractor, the client doesn’t need to manage the project. IKB does that. And, when a project starts with a great plan, it results in an efficient building experience. At the finish of a project, the site is clean, pristine, and ready for its photo shoot! IKB has humbly secured 31 recommendations throughout the years representing its HOUZZ landing site. Their favorite projects are ADU’s, kitchen & bathrooms, although they do it all. Moving a wall to extend a room and create is truly satisfying.
